Perfect Travel Kit

I took an "Inspiration Trip" recently to Arizona and part of what I wanted out of that trip was to be able to create while I was there.  I came up with this ingenius (I thought...hehe) idea of a travel kit.  None of the "scrapbook" bags that I had were small enough really, so as I was packing I saw this jewelry travel bag hanging in my closet...LIGHTBULB MOMENT!! This made the PERFECT CRAFTY TRAVEL KIT!  Here is a list of what I packed, all the basics, and of course papers, trims, fabrics and ephemera were picked up while I was there!

• Small paper trimmer
• Small tape runner (but glue stick is ok too!)
• Glue dots
• Pop dots
• Scissors (1pair straight, 1 decorative edge)
• Embroidery needle/a few floss colors
• Black Stazon
• Brown Distress Ink
• Mini letter stamp set
• Basic journal stamp
• A couple small paint brushes
• Shimmerz Spritz (a couple basic colors)
• Shimmerz Pearlz
• Shimmerz Paints/Blingz
• A few butcher tags
• A couple decorative tapes in different widths
• Black pen
• Blank travel book

You can use my list as a basic guide but I just packed things that I use all of the time, were easily portable, and I could use in a variety of ways.  I was able to use coasters from the hotel room to alter, old magazine pages and pamphlets to make my own flower embellishments and spray/paint with SHIMMERZ, and tags from things I had purchased on the trip as ephemera.  Use your imagination and work with what you have!  You will be surprised at what you can come up with when you are limited to what is in front of you, rather than your entire studio of supplies!!
